

FISHERY RULES
General Rules

Memberships must be paid in full
-
Maximum of 2 rods per member.
-
A Rod Licence MUST BE held, licence numbers will be required prior to applying for membership each year. Rod licence and membership to Hawthorns must always be carried.

Any lines in water must always be accompanied.
-
Only fish from one peg, rods are not to be put on multiple pegs.
-
Barbless hooks ONLY. and maximum of size 6 on the specimen lake.
-
Hook lengths must be lighter than main line and a maximum of 350 mm.
-
No fish are to be held above the knee (especially during photography).
-
No fishing within 2 meters of aerators or pumps
-
ALL anglers MUST have and use Propolis antibiotic on ALL hook wounds.
-
No fish are to be removed from the lakes.
-
No nuts or meats allowed in the ground bait.
-
No nut baits to be used on the lakes.
-
No open fires allowed. Stoves/raised fire pits can be used with express permission.
-
ALL litter is to be removed from site.
-
ALL dogs are to be kept on leads if they leave your peg at any time.
-
Any dog foul requires to be picked up and removed from site, failure to do this may result in a ban on dogs, so please follow this rule.

Fishing on all lakes is dusk till dawn unless a night fishing member
Cars
You may drive to the closest location to your peg utilising the roadway to drop off your fishing gear, but all cars MUST be parked back in the car parks provided. We cannot take any liabilities for your vehicles and would recommend they are always kept locked.
With the ground being unsuitable for vehicles at certain times of the year any damage to the grounds off designated roads or car parks will have to be repaired at the cost of the offender.
Benches and Picnic Tables
These have been supplied to aid in the comfort and usability of the lakes. They are for everybody’s use and therefore please respect these and look after them. If there is any noticeable defect or they appear to be coming lose please report this to me so I can maintain them in the condition they require to be in. Please Do NOT relocate these around the lakes without express permission from myself, there is a reason for their locations.
Toilets
Please respect the toilets, we have one male and one female toilet. These are serviced weekly and would ask you to respect them. Please ensure you leave them clean and tidy and in good order.
Do NOT put anything down the toilets that may cause obstruction. Please always use the correct gender toilet. Leave the toilet as you would like to find it!
Bottom Lake

Maximum size 10 hooks

Do not use towels or clothing to hold fish whilst unhooking
-
Fishing swims are in line with general cutesy and etiquette, straight out and no more than halfway across the lake to avoid conflicting with other anglers when the lakes are busy.

General curtesy on swims is to be maintained, do not encroach on other swims.
-
Keep nets are not permitted without express permission of the owner for specific purposes.
-
No nuts or meats allowed in the ground bait.

Padded unhooking mats must be used

Middle Lake
-
Maximum size 10 hooks, size 8 if fishing for carp
-
Do not use towels or clothing to hold fish whilst unhooking

High sided unhooking matts or cradles must be used when fishing the middle lake

Overnight fishing allowed with prior approval from Rob

Top Lake
-
NO pole fishing.
-
Minimum 15lb main line, 10 lb leader. No braided main line. Rig tubing ok.
-
42-inch landing net must be available for every peg, no sharing of landing nets.
-
Unhooking cradles must be used. Propper carp padded mats with sides will be acceptable.
-
Carp slings to be used for weighting and releasing of fish
-
Ensure your tackle is adequate for 30Lb plus carp as inferior tackle can harm the fish.
-
Curtesy and fishing etiquette are required with utilising swims.
-
Bait boats are acceptable to be used for baiting and hook placement only not as entertainment.

ALL fish under 10lb to be reported to Rob for relocation to other lakes

ALL anglers MUST have and use Propolis antibiotic on ALL hook wounds.

To guarantee your peg, bookings must be made through the website or app

Sweetcorn and maize to be used in moderation

Ground bait to be used in moderation (3kg per person)

NO fixed leads
-
Bait boats allowed for baiting and rig placement not for entertainment

BBQs allowed but must be off the floor

Use of the new cabin, respect it or lose it. No Smoking or fires within the cabin. Gas cookers maybe used on metal work top. Electrical Supply to cabin is available at £5 per night. Contact Rob to book this in.
